  3. Kalash Setup: Place a Kalash (holy pot) filled with water, betel nuts, coins, and flowers. This symbolizes the presence of Goddess Lakshmi.
  4. Lakshmi Idol/Photo/Yantra Pooja: Set up an idol, photo, or yantra representing Goddess Lakshmi. Offer flowers, turmeric, kumkum, and sandalwood paste to the deity.
  5. Lakshmi Mantra: Chant the following mantra dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi:

    ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं कमले कमलालये प्रसीद प्रसीद ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं महालक्ष्मयै नमः। (Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamale Kamalalaye Praseed Praseed Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Mahalakshmaye Namah)

Chant this mantra with devotion, focusing on the divine qualities of Goddess Lakshmi.

  7. Offerings:
    • Offer flowers, especially lotus flowers if available, to the goddess.
    • Light incense sticks and offer them, symbolizing the purity of prayers.
    • Light a ghee lamp or diya, representing the dispelling of darkness and ignorance.
    • Offer fruits, sweets, and other traditional sweets as naivedyam (food offered to the deity).
  8. Aarti: Perform aarti for Goddess Lakshmi. You can use a traditional aarti plate with a camphor flame and circulate it in front of the deity.
  9. Prayer and Meditation: Conclude the pooja with personal prayers and meditation, expressing gratitude and seeking blessings for wealth, prosperity, and overall well-being.
  10. Distribution of Prasad: Distribute the prasad (offered food) to family members and attendees as a symbol of sharing the divine blessings.
